Happy Music, UH!

On Monday, Tracey and I went to Syracuse to see Maceo Parker, possibly my favorite musician. We got into the small theater just when the doors opened, and we ended up with a pretty good view. Like, I could reach up and touch the Maceo's mic stand.

I have never heard a band as tight as Maceo's. Truly a remarkable musical experience, and if he ever comes anywhere near your city, you should see about checking him out.

Satchmo

This is our new puppy, Satchmo. He's a Lab/Shar Pei mix, and we adopted him from a veterinary shelter that was showing their dogs in Petsmart yesterday. He's eight weeks old, and he's very friendly. So far housebreaking and sleeping are both going better than expected. He's been pretty mellow so far too, which is sorta surprising since every Lab puppy I've ever seen has been a bit of a spaz. He's on an antibiotic for an infection, so maybe that's taking the edge off.

That's right! It doesn't have a checkbox allowing me to opt out of future warnings of this type. Which means I've seen it now approximately a dozen times. Bad iPhoto. Bad!
